Prep & Prosper...
Updated: Feb 2
Choosing where you get ready for the biggest day in your life is the first step to ensuring a magical day!
Many people don't put too much time and effort in to the before thoughts of a wedding day: where the bride will get ready with her maids, where the groom and his boys will be prepping, storage and collection of important items and key aspects... The list goes on!
Having a haven, a sanctuary of sorts, can help ease any nerves and smooth out the "wrinkles" of the day that can pop up when you least suspect them.
Not only does having a private area to get ready in put you and your parties at ease, but they are also a great way to have some sneaky fun whilst preparing to walk down that aisle!
The photos that come from this time of day - the beginning - are often some of the best and favourites of Brides & Grooms, as it takes them back to the original beginning of the day. They tend to hold great sentimental value and often have guests and loved ones at their most candid - which always makes the best shots!
It's important to understand your emotions that come with this, the feeling of being relaxed and excited all at once can be quite confusing and can take a toll on your moods very quickly! Having this safe place while you feel vulnerable is something that has always help empower Brides and Grooms - even if they don't realize it.
So, remember, although it may be one of the smaller things to cross your mind on this enormous, mammoth of a day, it's important to seek out a nice, relaxing and aesthetically pleasing spot to prepare for your big day.
Plus, having somewhere lovely to do so will reflect wonderfully in your photos! Nobody wants to curling their hair in the alleyway behind the reception venue! (Don't laugh, it's happened!)
See you through the lens,
